• Land-for-sale page — live searches on Rightmove, OnTheMarket and Zoopla (land filter). Worked-example plots are illustrative, including ungraded land in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. There is no official public register of every UK plot currently for sale.
• HM Land Registry Price Paid Data (linked-data API, no key) — completed residential sales in England and Wales, shown as a list on Identify → Place and the homes for sale page. Not a live listings feed.
• HM Land Registry Business Gateway (the 15 APIs on api.gov.uk/hmlr) — listed on Identify → Place and the APIs guide. Professional / paid; this viewer does not call them.
• planning.data.gov.uk (MHCLG) — this map’s Identify source. The planning-application dataset is incomplete and not a full UK list of permissions; use each council’s public register. Planning permissions guide
• PlanIt — free aggregator used on Identify → Planning for nearby Approved / Pending / Refused tables (location and proposal). Coverage varies; confirm on the council register. planit.org.uk
• OpenStreetMap (ODbL) — mapped sinkholes, shake holes and swallow holes as Identify map dots. The BGS National Karst Database of recorded sinkholes is not a public point API.
• BGS GeoSure soluble rocks (open 5 km hex) — dissolution / sinkhole susceptibility at the Identify point, not a hole inventory. GeoSure soluble rocks
• GSNI / BGS karst features — Northern Ireland swallow holes and enclosed depressions as map dots.
• Commercial sourcing APIs (paid, vendor claims): Searchland, PropertyData, Propalt, Homedata, PlanningAPI UK, LandHawk — APIs & databases

• Open-Meteo — 14-day temperature, rain, ET₀ and topsoil moisture at the Identify point (model, not Met Office). Combined with the soil family for a growth / no-growth call.
• Environment Agency Water Resource Zones (OGL) — appointed water / sewerage company and resource zone. Ofwat remains the customer-facing check. Scottish Water and NI Water are national undertakers outside that layer.
• National Grid ESO Carbon Intensity API — names the electricity DNO region and a half-hour generation mix. The DNO is the wires company; the energy retailer is not mapped.
• Environment Agency Flood Map for Planning — Flood Zone 2 and 3 as a map wash (England). Not SEPA / NRW and not a Flood Risk Assessment. NPPF flood risk
• Holding pack — draw or drop a polygon; ALC and flood zones are clipped to that boundary. Export is GeoJSON (open). Not a Land Registry title.
• Mapzen / AWS Terrarium DEM — hillshade and Identify elevation / slope. ~30–90 m, not a topographic survey. tilezen/joerd
• MHCLG / NPPF — Best and Most Versatile land policy
• RICS — EWS1 / external wall system guidance; Building Safety Act context
• Law Society, Law Society of Scotland, CLC, RICS, RTPI, RIBA/ARB, CIOT, ICAEW — official professional directories
